“Feedback”…
“My compliments on your web pages, both savela.nu and seskaro.nu. Very nicely done. I’ll share them with my brother and sister.”
Thats the ending of an e-mail I received a couple of weeks ago. It was sent to me by a distant (I don’t know if this is the right word to use…) relative who lives in Minnesota, USA who “googled” the words “seskaro savela” and this led him to my site savela.nu !
🙂
He also sent me this picture of his grandfather, Karl Hendricksen:
A studiopicture taken in Chicago in approximately 1910.
His name was earlier Karl Alexander Savela and he was a brother to our grandfather Johan Emil!
He emigrated to New York in around 1910, moved to Chicago shortly afterward, married Mary Katerina Keranen of Karunki Finland in Chicago around 1912, as Riley, among other things, writes to me.
We have always known that we have relatives in the States but at least I haven’t known “where or who” they might be, but I know a little bit more!.
For me to do is to get savela.nu completed “sometimes” and I have to say that without the internet I’m sure that we never should have gotten in touch with each other!
🙂
